SAINT IKER

  The person who I idolize is a football player.His name is Iker Casillas or should I say 'Saint Iker'.He used to play for Real Madrid F.C. but currently he plays for F.C Porto.He was the first youngest player to play in a UEFA Champions League Final at the age of 19 years old.For a young player to play in a Champions League Final for a such big football club Real Madrid as a goalkeeper you need to be very qualify to do so.He came on as a substitute for the injured goalkeeper as did many important saves.The match ended 2-1 Real Madrid won the game.

   He soon became the first choice goalkeeper for Real Madrid F.C at a young age.He has show many young footballer that hardwork and determination is the key to success and he has proven it by playing for Real Madrid.After Raul the club captain was transfer to another club Casillas became the captain for Real Madrid because he has all the quality as a leader.In 2014 Champions league Final Real Madrid was losing 1-0 it was Casillas who motivated his teammates and at the very last minute his teammates scored and the game ended 1-1,after extra time it was 4-1 to Real Madrid.

 Casillas is also the number one choice for the Spanish Football National Team until 2016.He also the most capped player for Spain.Due to his leadership quality he was also the captain for the Spanish Football team from 2008-2016.During his first year as captain,Spain won their first major trophy the Euro 2008.It was the 2010 World Cup where he was known to be the best.Leading Spain all the way to the final and perform the best game in his career and Spain won their first World Cup.

Iker is respect by not only his teammates but also by the opponent and also by the fans because he respect every opponent and every fan.He is also humble he has his own foundation for charity.In 2011 Casillas was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Programme's Millennium Development Goals.

 Modern footballers rarely have all his quality they are more focus on the fame.Now at the age of 36 Casillas is still playing football many players at his age are retiring but Casillas is still going strong.He is a great role model for the young generation to look up upon with the amount of good quality which he have.
