Top RPG genre that I've played.

there's so many role playing video games out there so this list are not implied best of all because it based on my opinion.

1.Breath of Fire 1,2,3

2.Golden Sun 1,2, Golden Sun Dark Dawn

3. Digimon World 1,2,3, Dawn

4. Devil May Cry 3,4, Devil May Cry

5.Zelda The Minish Cap.

rpg is quite a fun, all that power and grind a level to beat the boss and puzzle to sharp your wisdom. 

but dont put to much time on it. this game are the game that I play back at 2014 where it fill all my time during waiting a ship.
