Malaysian Unity Run 2017-SEPANG CIRCUIT

Well, that was on a fine Saturday two weeks ago, ALAM was invited by the organizers to join the Malaysian Unity Run 2017 held at SEPANG F1 circuit. So we the students from senior batch were urged as the representative of Alam students to join this humongous event.First, students name were shortlisted and we were briefed about the event minutes and pre planning first day prior the event.

In the Saturday morning 18/11/2017, we gathered at parade ground around 3am in the morning as two buses were waiting for us to fetch us to event. Before departing we were given morning breakfast by management.We almost 80 cadets started our journey to Sepang F1 circuit at 0330hrs and we took a short break before heading to Sepang as its Subuh prayers time.Then we continued our journey and reached there at 0630hrs.

I got really shocked to see the huge huge huge crowd there as the only i knew almost 40 colleges and universities from all over Malaysia taking part in this event.Surprisingly, almost 15000 students from different ethnics gathered there as united Malaysians.

Event started with warming up session with some cheerleaders on stage and all the participants actively involved in this session.Together with the students, Chief Guest Minister Dato Hishammudin also joined the warming up session and also few other bigshots and celebrities. Then followed by some concerts by local famous celebrities like Jaclyn Victor and many more.

As the day was fine and sunny, the race was started officially by the minister and all the students started to run on the track as per planned.Since the crowd was really big most of them prefered to walk and finish the track and some athletes managed to run.Hahaha. Well i just walked by slow and steady and there wasn't any rush.

After the event finish certificates were distributed at the end lines and there were son may food stalls and also free breads and energy drinks were given to participants.It was a memorable event though.
