Family road trip to Langkawi

Happy deepavali and happy holiday to everyone!

Today I will share with everyone about my family road trip to Langkawi...

Its all begin with my mom planning to go for a road trip for this deepavali holiday,my mom is so good at planning a vacation because she do a lot of research about place to visit for vacation and others.At first she asked me where do i want to go,so i choose Perhentian Island but my mom doesn't think its a good idea because my nenek is joining us too then she decided to go to Langkawi.I asked my mom 'are we going by car or flight' im not ready for the answer guys...... then she said "its a road trip"i fainted..... LOL 

Sunday 15/10

0900: woke up from my bed and get into shower.I can pack all my stuff and getting myself ready within an hour and guess what? we start our journey at 1100.one hour delay from the schedule!!! ok actually im expecting that hhahahha.I have 4 sisters,hope you all understand that.Anyway guys,do check all your car before going for a long journey.especially your car's tyre and coolant on the engine.I've checked and all in good condition.We drive at bukit jelutong highway before enter North-South highway.

At 1300 we reached at Kuala kangsar,Oh and we take exit to kuala kangsar because I missed the sg.Perak R&R.sorry mom.At kualan kangsar we go eat some rojak mee and laksa kuala kangsar.If you comes to kuala kangsar do buy apam beras.I dont know if you can get it at other places but i will surely buy apam beras when i come to kuala kangsar

At kuala kangsar also we go pray at Masjid Ubudiah.Its a beautiful mosque at located near to perak king's palace.Kuala kangsar also known as perak royal city where the family of perak king all stays.

After we finished with food and pray,we continue our journey to Kuala kedah.It takes another 3 hours to kedah,since my family had their lunch,they are all now sleeping leaving me alone driving but its a good feeling to look around  while you're driving,passing bukit kapur near ipoh,passing through penang main land and even before you enter kedah,you can already see the paddy field.

We took the exit to alor star.My mom booked a hotel for us so that we can have rest for a night at kedah.Before we check in we go to pekan rabu because my mom want to buy ikan pekasam.ikan pekasam is a marinated fish with fried rice.It is eaten with white rice.its a traditional food.to make ikan pekasam they usually use the fish from the paddy field or river fish instead of sea fish.

The next day we took ferry from kuala kedah jetty to pulau langkawi,my parking fares for 3 days is rm125 maybe because its a holiday so the fares rates increase.our ferry to pulau langkawi took one and half hour.Lucky its a good weather that day so the ferry can sail smoothly.The ticket fares for a person is rm22 from kuala kedah.You can go to langkawi either from jetty kuala kedah or jetty kuala perlis.It wll take shorter time in ferry if you took ferry from kuala perlis.

As we reached Langkawi,we first took the car that my mom already booked.we took toyota innova and before we check in our hotel we decide to eat first,we go to HIG mall to get some food.We tried PASEMBOR and its taste so good.After that go go check in our chalet.Our chalet located in a village and the best part of it is we can see paddy field next to our chalet.its a beautiful view because you dont get to see this view back at city.its a wrap for that day.we get our rest that night 

Next day we go to Langkawi cable car,its a long que but it is worth the wait.you can see the whole langkawi from the top.we spend the whole day at the cable car and at night we walked at chenang beach .Chenang beach is so happening at night.we had our dinner there.

Next day we go to Underwater world langkawi,he fares is rm 26 per person but after i experienced it.I will say it is worth the price.We get to see seal dogs and penguin being feed.A lot of marine life we can see so near.

On our last day at Langkawi we decide to go shopping,so the first place we go is beras terbakar it is 30 min from pantai chenang.Beras terbakar is a historical place.The story of beras terbakar is when the time Siam army wanted to take over langkawi,The leader of Langkawi decide to burn all the paddy so Siam amry will not come because they will not get anything from langkawi as all the paddy is be burn.At beras terbakar you can get all type of kain batik and kain pelekat at cheap price.

We continue our shopping at HIG mall,we bought a lot of chocolate to bring back home.That evening we took ferry to kuala kedah again,with all our chocolates and kain batik,guess who need to bring all those heavy things? me.another one and half hour again to kuala kedah.we took our car and drive back to home.Another 6 hours of driving for me but im so happy to get to spend time with family.

Langkawi is a nice place for vacation with family or friends.everyone should have try it
