Deepavali Onboard Armada Firman(2015)

Since everyone is back home for Deepavali holiday this year I hope everyone have a great and memorable Deepavali for those celebrating and happy holidays for others. For the last 2 years I was onboard and didn't get to celebrate Deepavali.I remember for 2015 Deepavali I was onboard Armada Firman(AFM).

At Kemaman Port with AFM and  remaining deck cadet.
We came alongside a day before Deepavali for some maintenance purpose and it was the first time we came alongside since sign on.When the time was 1700 hours the deck crew called it a day so did we after a long day.We took our shower and dinner then the chiefmate called us to bridge and inform us since it is Deepavali tmrw we are given a day off.We were happy but the happiness was cut short the chiefmate called all of us again around 2200hours to bridge and told we will be changing the mooring anchor at 2230hours.

We start the work at 2230hours until 0100 hours and it wasn't completed yet but it was 'kopi time'(break time) for the shore team. Then only did we realized that it was already Deepavali.
Changing of Mooring anchor cable on Deepavali eve.

They resume the work around 0230 hours..we have to wait for 2 hours 30 minute for the shore crew to resume he work and while waiting everyone called their house and wish them happy Deepavali and express their feeling. When it was 0600 hours the Captain called all the deck crew and deck cadet to bridge and told us to go and have some rest, since the job is over and thanks us for willing to work extra.

Then at 0900 hours the AB duty wake us up and told us that we will be departing soon and we should report to bridge for toolbox meeting(TBM).
After TBM a pic with 2ndMate :)

Then around 1000 hours we when to our mooring station and help the deck crew for unmooring.Once done unmooring we arrange all the mooring rope and took a drink.
Nope it is not liquor or beer but apple juice. No alcohol policy.
